Coton Parish Council is hosting two meetings
for Coton residents in the Village Hall
please come to one
Wednesday 2 November 2pm – 3.30pm
Friday 4 November 7pm – 9pm
- To hear the latest on the City Deal proposals
- To share your views on how it will affect you
- To decide on what we can do next as a united community
- To make sure the City Deal starts to listen
What the City Deal plans could mean for Coton:
- A fast non-stop bus travelling through Coton’s fields
- A brightly-lit and noisy Park&Ride overlooking Coton
- The probable loss of our fields to housing development
- Increased traffic through the village
- The village cut off from the shop
- The end of Coton as a village community
A Busway through Coton is City Deal’s preferred route but it is not yet a done deal – there is still time to act
Dear Sir/Madam,
I was wondering if you could let me know if there will be anymore meetings regarding the city deal.
Thank you
Lina Joseph
No meetings are scheduled at the moment, but I expect more village meetings will happen in the next few weeks. We are expecting the City Deal to decide on the route in May, followed by another consultation period.
